About The Artist
As a potter based in Milwaukee, my work is deeply rooted in the rhythms of the natural world. I create functional ceramics—everyday vessels meant to be used and touched—that echo the textures, forms, and colors found in the landscapes of the Midwest. From the quiet structure of a birch tree to the ripple of Lake Michigan’s shoreline, nature continually informs my creative process.
Clay, to me, is a grounding material. It connects my hands to the earth, and my practice to traditions that span cultures and centuries. I am drawn to making utilitarian pieces—mugs, bowls, pitchers—because they become part of people’s daily rituals. I believe that beauty should be accessible, and that art should live in our hands, not just on our walls.
My goal is to create ceramics that feel alive—objects that invite a pause, a breath, and a moment of connection with the world around us.
When I am not in the studio getting messy and creative I enjoy adventures with my three kids and my bernedoodle. We love to explore the northwoods of WI and all that the city of Milwaukee offers.
Meet me at a market, take one of my classes at Cream City Clay, or request custom work. It’s an honor to call myself an artist. I look forward to meeting you!
